Connect, Participate, and Contribute
Membership within the Indigenous Nation of Onegodia provides a framework for community participation, cultural learning, service, and shared responsibility. Participation is structured so that members, applicants, volunteers, and program participants can understand their status, responsibilities, and opportunities.
Choose Your Path
Membership Pathways & Participation
Your pathway depends on your interests, applicable eligibility requirements, and the activities in which you wish to participate.
Community Participation
Engage with public educational resources, events, cultural activities, and community initiatives according to each program’s participation rules.
Membership Application
Request consideration for organizational membership through the designated INO application and review process.
Volunteer Participation
Contribute time, knowledge, skills, and service to approved cultural, educational, conservation, historical, or community initiatives.
Program Participation
Apply separately for programs with their own eligibility standards, documentation requirements, capacity limits, or attendance expectations.
Participation Is Not the Same as Membership
Community participation, volunteering, or participation in an INO program does not by itself establish formal membership. Formal membership categories, eligibility requirements, and associated rights are determined through adopted INO policies and written approval.
Application & Review
Applying for Membership
Before applying, review the current requirements, policies, responsibilities, and any applicable documentation requirements.
Submit requested information
Review policies and responsibilities
Provide supporting documents if required
Respond to clarification requests
Receive a written decision
Application ≠ Membership
Submitting an application does not establish membership. Membership should be considered approved only after an authorized INO record or written notice confirms the decision.
Conduct • Accuracy • Respect

Provide truthful information and keep relevant contact details current.
Treat members, participants, staff, partners, and community members with dignity.
Follow applicable organizational policies and program requirements.
Respect confidential information, private records, and protected cultural materials.
Describe your membership status accurately.
Obtain authorization before speaking, signing, or committing INO on its behalf.

Participation & Opportunity
Ways to Participate
Participation may include cultural education, language and heritage research, community service, land conservation, educational activities, events, volunteer service, and other approved initiatives.
Program Eligibility Is Separate
Membership does not automatically establish eligibility for housing, grants, financial assistance, leadership positions, restricted programs, or other benefits. Each opportunity is governed by its own eligibility requirements, documentation standards, available resources, and approval process.
Dues, Fees & Contributions
Any dues, fees, renewal obligations, or other required payments should be disclosed before a commitment is requested. Voluntary contributions and commercial purchases should remain clearly distinguished from membership approval.
Records • Privacy • Security
Membership Records & Privacy
Applicants and members should understand what information is requested, why it is needed, how it will be used, and how corrections may be requested.
Data Purpose
Applicants should receive clear information about the purpose for which required information is collected.
Corrections
Applicants and members should have a defined method for requesting correction of relevant records.
Sensitive Documents
Identity records, family records, and confidential documents should be submitted only through an expressly designated secure method.
Know Your Status
Understanding Membership Status
INO membership records a person’s approved organizational relationship with the Indigenous Nation of Onegodia. The scope of that membership should always be represented accurately.
Membership Does Not Automatically Establish
Separate Credentials & Classifications
Any separate internal citizenship designation, identity credential, ID, certificate, or other classification requires its own documented criteria and approval. Each record should state clearly what it represents and the scope in which it is issued.
