INO Volunteer Program

Supporting cultural stewardship, community service, and institutional programs through volunteer participation.

Purpose of the Volunteer Program

The Indigenous Nation of Onegodia™ Volunteer Program provides opportunities for individuals to contribute their time and skills to projects that support cultural preservation, community service, and institutional development.

Volunteers assist with initiatives such as:

• Community events
• Cultural education programs
• Administrative and research support
• Public documentation and archives
• Land stewardship and environmental activities

Participation helps strengthen the Nation’s programs and expands community engagement.

Who Can Volunteer

The program welcomes participation from:

• INO members
• Associate supporters
• Students and researchers
• Community volunteers
• Partner organizations

Volunteers contribute according to their interests, availability, and relevant skills.

Participation in volunteer activities does not require formal membership in the Indigenous Nation of Onegodia.

Cultural Programs

Assist with cultural events, educational programs, and public presentations that support Indigenous traditions and community learning.

Research & Documentation

Support research projects, historical documentation, and public education initiatives related to Indigenous history and governance.

Community Support

Participate in outreach activities, community service projects, and event organization supporting INO initiatives.

Volunteer Expectations

Volunteers are expected to:

• Respect cultural traditions and community values
• Follow event and program guidelines
• Represent the organization respectfully during activities
• Maintain professionalism when interacting with members and the public

Volunteer work is coordinated through designated program leaders or administrative offices.

Many volunteers also choose to become long-term supporters or members of the Nation.

Program coordinators review requests and contact applicants regarding upcoming opportunities.


The Indigenous Nation of Onegodia™ operates as a documented religious society organized under Connecticut law and supports community service initiatives through volunteer participation.
